St. Mary’s
Teaching Philosophy...
Students at St. Mary’s Catholic Elementary
School become active members of a Christian community who live according to the
message of the Gospels and Church Traditions.
Parents, as primary educators, join with
faculty and staff in a commitment to educate students by developing their mind,
body and spirit through academic programs that stimulate and provide a strong
curriculum.
Students become active participants in
community outreach and environmental awareness programs that nurture the growth
& development of the whole child as caring citizens of the world.

Active Christian who:
- has knowledge of Church teachings and
practices
- demonstrates a spirit of service,
participation and leadership in church, family, school, and community

St.
Mary's Academics...
St. Mary’s Catholic School has WASC accreditation
with California Credentialed teachers. The teachers and administration have
begun work on the 2002, WCEA/WASC accreditation, Process for School
Improvement for Catholic Elementary Schools, with a new mission statement,
philosophy and student learning expectations for St. Mary’s students. This
will be an ongoing process for the next year that will help us provide the best
academic and spiritual education for our students in this new millennium.
